School days are golden, memories so bright,
Friends and laughter from morning to night.
The school bell rings, a brand new day,
Lessons and laughter along the way.
Books and pencils, bags and dreams,
School life is more than it seems.
In the classroom we learn and grow,
Seeds of wisdom we gently sow.
Teachers guide us with patience and care,
Knowledge and kindness they always share.
Friends in school are treasures untold,
Worth more than silver or gold.
The playground echoes with joyful cheer,
The happiest days of the year.
Exams may worry, but hard work pays,
Success will follow in so many ways.
Morning assembly, a prayer, a song,
A place where we all belong.
School is a garden where young minds bloom,
Filling every heart and every room.
Homework and lessons, tests and fun,
School days are second to none.
The last bell rings, we run outside,
With friends beside us, full of pride.
School memories never fade away,
They warm our hearts every single day.
From ABCs to dreams so tall,
School taught us to rise above all.
A teacher’s words can light the way,
And guide us through each coming day.
The corridors whisper stories of old,
Of friendships brave and hearts of gold.
School life is a journey, sweet and true,
A chapter written just for you.
We came as strangers, left as friends,
A bond that never truly ends.
The school gate closes, but memories stay,
Forever in our hearts, come what may.
Farewell to school, we say with love,
Blessed by the stars and skies above.

Schools of Poetry
In English literature, schools of poetry are groups of poets who shared a style or idea. The Classical school valued order and reason, the Romantic school valued emotion and nature, and the Victorian school valued morality and beauty. Two famous historical examples are the school of skaldic poetry — the court poets of old Norse kings who composed complex praise poems — and the new york school poetry movement, a group of American poets in 1950s New York who wrote playful, city-inspired verse. The schools of poetry in english literature show how poetry keeps changing with every generation, yet its heart stays the same: honest feeling in beautiful words.
Classical order, romantic fire,
Every school lifts poetry higher.
Skalds sang of kings in Norse halls,
Their verses echo through ancient walls.
New York School poets, bold and free,
Wrote of the city wild and free.

Pro Tip: How to Win a School Poetry Competition
Choose a poem you truly feel, not just a long one. Practice it aloud three times — once for words, once for voice, and once for confidence. Pause after emotional lines, look at the audience, and speak slowly. Judges remember feeling more than perfection. And always end with a clear, strong last line.
